Not so rude here

So on my first trip out of the flat I went with Hannah to get her laundry. We rounded the corner of the street and promptly nearly ran into a man who had just stopped walking. This man then spread his legs ever so slightly, bent forward a bit and produced the loudest fart I have heard in quite a while. This methane eruption was so spectacular it actually made his trousers vibrate.

Hannah looked at me and simply said "welcome back to Hong Kong!!"

That's the thing with this place, the city is immaculate, and with bird flu and SARs I have never encountered a more hygene orientated society. Yet farting and burping in public is all quite normal.

On a different note Robyn has two visitors at the moment in the form of her mother and her mums boyfriend. On Wednesday night Robyn is working so the girls are planning on getting her mum quite drunk during the weekly 'ladies night'. (Ladies night is when females get unlimited free drink for the entire evening). I think Robyn thinks this is all a joke but I really expect it's going to happen...
